Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Art ist die Riesen-Strumpfbandnatter, eine der kleinen ist die Pr\u00e4riestrumpfbandnatter. Die anderen Arten sind im Durchschnitt bis zu 120cm lang. Namensgeber ist der helle Streifen am R\u00fccken, \u00e4hnlich wie die Naht eines Strumpfs hinten am Bein. Die <strong>K\u00f6rperf\u00e4rbung<\/strong> ist je nach Art <strong>unterschiedlich<\/strong>, die Grundfarbe ist meist eher dunkel, von schwarz bis grau, braun oder olivgr\u00fcn. Der Bauch ist hell, grau bis beige. Der K\u00f6rper ist kr\u00e4ftig und muskul\u00f6s, aber schlank und lang.<\/p>\n<p>Die Kalifornische Rotseitige ist wie der Name schon sagt kr\u00e4ftig rot, die Quebec ist hingegen eher schwarz, braun und grau. Ebenso gibt es blaue oder orangene Arten oder Albinos. Die Vielfalt von Streifen \u00fcber Flecken und den verschiedenen Farben ist sehr gro\u00df.<\/p>\n<p>Das Geschlecht ist schwer zu unterscheiden, ausgewachsene Weibchen sind gr\u00f6\u00dfer wie M\u00e4nnchen. M\u00e4nnchen sind an der verdickten Schwanzwurzel und dem l\u00e4ngeren Schwanz zu erkennen.<br \/>\nEine Zucht ist m\u00f6glich, <strong>geschlechtsreif<\/strong> sind sie <strong>mit 2-3 Jahren<\/strong>. Ca. 3 Monate nach der Paarung geb\u00e4rt das Weibchen <strong>10-20 Junge lebend<\/strong>. Im Terrarium wird sie mit Lebend- oder (Frost-) Fisch - der ist besonders beliebt und darf gerne \u00f6fters gef\u00fcttert werden - und Regenw\u00fcrmern (aus dem Angelbedarf) gef\u00fcttert. Wird viel (Frost-) Fisch gef\u00fcttert, solltest du das Frostfutter <strong>mit Vitaminen aufpeppen<\/strong>. Gefrorener Fisch ist eher arm an Vitaminen. Alternativ kannst du auch ein Privat-Abgabetier zu dir holen oder in den Reptilienauffangstationen anfragen.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"was-brauche-ich-fuer-die-haltung-einer-strumpfbandnatter\">Was brauche ich f\u00fcr die Haltung einer Strumpfbandnatter?<\/h3>\n<p>F\u00fcr eine Strumpfbandnatter ben\u00f6tigst du ein <strong>Terrarium<\/strong> mit den Mindestma\u00dfen von 120x60x80cm. Am Boden muss eine gro\u00dfe Badeschale von mindestens dem halben Terrarium vorhanden sein. Als Bodengrund eignet sich Kokos oder Erde. Viele \u00c4ste zum Klettern d\u00fcrfen nicht fehlen. <strong>Pflanzen<\/strong> sind ein optisches Highlight und bieten Versteckm\u00f6glichkeiten. H\u00f6hlen oder Tunnel aus Rinde als Versteck sind ebenso wichtig und sollten mit feuchtem Moos ausgelegt werden. Das lieben sie und dies ist sehr hilfreich w\u00e4hrend der H\u00e4utung. Eine raue R\u00fcckwand, am idealsten mit Liegefl\u00e4chen daran, wird sehr gerne genutzt.<\/p>\n<p>Die perfekte <strong>Temperatur<\/strong> in Zonen liegt bei <strong>22-28\u00b0C<\/strong> und am Sonnenplatz bis zu 35\u00b0C, eine Nachtabsenkung auf Zimmertemperatur von um die 20\u00b0C ist problemlos m\u00f6glich. Die ideale Luftfeuchtigkeit von 60% wird durch 2x t\u00e4gliches Einspr\u00fchen oder eine <strong>Regenanlage<\/strong> erreicht.<\/p>\n<p>Manche Arten halten im Winter eine <strong>Winterruhe<\/strong> ein, welche du f\u00fcr die Gesundheit deiner Schlange erm\u00f6glichen solltest. In der Winterruhe wird die Lichtdauer und die Temperatur langsam verringert und nach 6-8 Wochen wieder erh\u00f6ht. In dieser Zeit wird das F\u00fcttern eingestellt.
