Diese wurde 1961 geboren und ihre Nachkommen wurden dann mit Britisch-Kurzhaar-Katzen verpaart. Diese gaben das sogenannte<strong> Faltohrgen<\/strong> weiter. Zu bedenken ist dabei, dass diese Kitten nicht mit den Faltohren zur Welt kommen, sondern sich diese <strong>erst mit 3 Wochen<\/strong> einklappen. Die endg\u00fcltige Faltung ist erst mit ca. sechs Wochen erreicht.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pflege-gesundheit-und-krankheiten\">Pflege, Gesundheit und Krankheiten<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"gibt-es-bei-der-scottish-fold-rassetypische-krankheiten\">Gibt es bei der Scottish Fold rassetypische Krankheiten?<\/h3>\n<p>Die Scottish Fold ist <strong>relativ robust<\/strong> und nicht k\u00e4lteempfindlich. Mit Hitze hingegen hat sie manchmal so ihre Probleme. Aufgrund des Fd-Gens leidet die Scottish Fold an der <strong>Osteochondrodysplasie<\/strong>. Man muss immer sichergehen, dass sie keine Gelenkprobleme hat.<\/p>\n<p>Auch die <strong>hypertrophe Kardiomyopathie<\/strong> tritt bei der Scottish Fold immer wieder auf und kann auf lange Sicht zur Herzinsuffizienz f\u00fchren. Die<strong> polyzistische Nierenerkrankung<\/strong>, eine Krankheit, die zur Niereninsuffizienz f\u00fchren kann, tritt ebenso geh\u00e4uft auf. Die Scottish Fold neigt au\u00dferdem zu <strong>\u00dcbergewicht<\/strong>. Dies sollte man in jedem Fall im Blick behalten.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"welches-futter-braucht-eine-scottish-fold\">Welches Futter braucht eine Scottish Fold?<\/h3>\n<p>Die Scottish erfreut sich wie auch alle anderen Katzenrassen einer <strong>fleischhaltigen Ern\u00e4hrung<\/strong>. Daf\u00fcr eignet sich hochwertiges Nassfutter mit einem gro\u00dfen Fleischgehalt oder \u00fcberhaupt frisches Fleisch.
